EDC - Inductive Linear Transducer
Compact LVDT displacement sensor with integrated electronics in two designs for small measuring strokes.
Special Features
- Very accurate for small measuring strokes (2..50 mm)
- In 2 designs (probe or loose core)
- For harsh environmental conditions (up to IP67)
- Very long lifespan
- Suitable for high dynamics
- Absolute analog signal
The mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a front guided or loose push rod.
Available are versions as a probe (EDCT) with outside spring return device and with a loose push rod (EDCL). The inductive measurement principle of the EDC is configured with a casted spool in LVDT winding. In the sensor housing, the electronics are integrated, which converts the position into a linear analog signal. Due to the contactless measurement principle long lifespan can be reached and permits high dynamic application, especially if small oscillating movement has to be detected. The inductive measurement delivers absolute values, is true power on and has high resolution also for movement in micro step. The robust construction of the inductive EDC with IP65 (optional IP67) sealing permits the use also in heavy duty applications.
